Drywall Tape Alternative / Fibre Reinforcement Additive for Drywall Joint Compound / Finish Drywall Joints Without Tapes.
- Tape in Mud™ is a combination of polyacrylonitrile fibre, polyester fibre and cellulose wood fibres in various lengths And diameters.
- Tape in Mud™ is a fibre reinforcement additive to drywall taping compound. It turns regular taping mud into tapeless joint compound.
- When fibres mix with regular drywall joint compound at the best ratio, fibres cross link to each other and form a 3D structural mat like a dryer sheet in the mud. It serves like a fibre mat tape in the mud. That’s how liagle tapeless drywall finishing- tape in mud™ Works.
- apply the fiber reinforced joint compound directly to the joints without embedding any drywall tapes.
- Pre-fill, tape installation, and a filling process can be done by just one coat of Tapeless drywall joint compound.
- Joint compound with Tape in Mud™ mixed in it has higher bonding and tensile strength, lower shrinkage, no plastic shrinkage cracks, and drys faster.
- The joints are welded by tapeless mud, much stronger than drywall itself and have higher flexibility.
- It can save about 40% of labor time.
Mixing Directions
Mixing with premixed joint compound:
- Put 1 box of 17 Liters premixed joint compound in a 5 gallon bucket. Add 2 bags of Tape In Mud™ to the bucket, for the first coat of mudding.
- Mix only One bag of Tape In Mud™ with 1 box of 17 litres premixed joint compound for second coat.
- Adding water gradually while mixing.
Mixing with setting compound powder:
- Put 1 bag ( 8-12 kg) of the setting-type compound in a clean and dry 5 gallon pail.
- Put 1 bag Tape In Mud™ in the bucket, mix with paddle and drill for 5 minutes.
- Make sure the fibres are dispersed uniformly in the powder.
