For pole sanders.
Perforation
Jost products have holes throughout the surface that allow the dust to easily escape, and Eliminate Load-up. Because you won’t have dust particles clogging up your paper, you can now use the full potential abrasive life of the sheet. Perforation allows the sheet to last longer and provide a higher level of finish.
Fiber Backing
Jost abrasive drywall sanding sheets utilize a Non-Woven backing that draws the dust through the portholes evenly. Not only is the backing a nice additional cushion, but it drastically improves the performance and life of the sanding sheet. Even distribution of sanded drywall material means you can Eliminate Sand Scratches!
Aluminum Oxide Grit
Traditional drywall sandpaper uses sharp edged silicon carbide abrasive that starts out cutting hard, but doesn’t wear evenly. Joest Drywall Sanding Sheets utilize Aluminum Oxide grit that is rounded (instead of jagged), and wears uniformly. Jost products will cut at the same rate throughout their useable life, and will resist loading.
They don't scratch the wall like other discs
Jost grit particles have more rounded edges to help eliminate scratch marks. Grit rating is a measure of grain size not sharpness. For sanding drywall mud, sharp grit is bad!
They last much longer
The Jost sanding disc and foam pad have air passage ways which carry the drywall dust away from the sanding pad to keep the disc cleaner and cooler for longer life. High speed sanders tend to create heat which strips the glue and sand from the disc. Use only Jost sanding discs with the Jost foam pad. It is the only system which has air flow that carries the drywall dust from the sanding surface to the vacuum.
