Follow these steps each time after using your tools to keep them in tip top shape:
What you need:
- Bucket of clean water
- Taper tube cleaning brush
- Hose or pressure washer
- Fluid Film
What to do:
- Remove the cover plate
- Clean inside taper tube with taper tube cleaning brush
- Rinse with the hose or pressure washer
- Apply Fluid Film
Cleaning Compound Tubes
What you need:
- Bucket of clean water
- Taper tube cleaning brush
- Scrub brushes
- Hose or pressure washer
- Fluid Film
What to do:
- Remove the cover plate
- Clean inside compound tube with taper tube cleaning brush
- Clean outside compound tube with scrub brushes
- Rinse joint compound with the hose or pressure washer
- Apply Fluid Film
Cleaning Compound Pumps
What you need:
- Bucket of clean water
- Taper tube cleaning brush
- Scrub brush
- Hose or pressure washer

What to do:
- Remove tube
- Clean out the screen with a scrub brush
- Clean the inside of the tube with the taper tube cleaning brush
- Rinse water through tube using a hose or pressure washer
- Apply Fluid Film

What you need:
- Bucket of clean water
- Gooseneck cleaning brush
- Hose or pressure washer
- Fluid Film
What to do:
- Clean inside using a flexible gooseneck cleaning brush
- Rinse with the hose or pressure washer
- Apply Fluid Film
Cleaning Finishing Boxes and Mud Pans
What you need:
- Bucket of clean water
- Scrub brush
- Hose or pressure washer
- Soft cloth
- Fluid Film
What to do:
- Scoop out unused joint compound into the garbage
- Soak boxes in a bucket of clean water for 10 minutes
- Clean stuck joint compound with a scrub brush
- Rinse with hose or pressure washer
- Dry with a soft cloth
- Apply Fluid Film

What you need:

What to do:
- Throw any excess compound into the garbage
- Clean stuck joint compound with a scrub brush
- Dampen cloth with clean water
- Wipe down putty knife with damp cloth
Cleaning Mud Buckets
What you need:
- Clean water
- Scrub brush
- Hose or pressure washer
- Cloth
What to do:
- Empty bucket contents responsibly
- Clean stuck joint compound with a scrub brush
- Rinse with hose or pressure washer
- Dry with a cloth
